After a year hiatis, the North American Prep Hockey Association has restarted with new teams, more weekends, and new formats.

Newcomers to the league for the 2021-22 season include A21 Academy (Windsor, ON), two teams from The Mount Academy (Charlottetown, PEI), Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) and College Universel (Gatineau, QC). The schedule has expanded to include nine league weekends and a final championship weekend at the end of February. Formats for each league weekend have been left to host teams to organize with some weekends playing in a tournament format as well as inviting guest teams to be included.
